Hi Tonya,

A former Californian (now living on the Big Island) I am thrilled to know that there are so many 'ukulele events going on in the Golden State, just in case I have to move back.

I also attended the Waimea 'Ukulele Institue 2006 and after thinking back I belive I remember your face. I took "strum like the wind II" from James Hill and "Advanced 'ukulele" with Gordon Mark. I liked James's class the most.

I just returned from my second Pahala 'Ukulele and Slack-key Guitar Workshop with Keoki Kahumoku and Herb Ohta Jr. along with Konabob (he plays bass at the Holualoa kani ka pila). I had a great time. We got to play 'ukulele and/or slack-key from 7 in the morning untill 9 or 10 at night for 2 1/2 days, whats not to love! Herb is such a neat guy, after teaching his clases for one of the days he sat down with us kids and taught us how to play "Step it Up" and "G minor Fleas".

Keep up the good work,

Hi Tonya--great website and so informative! It\'s so neat to know someone that hangs out with, and plays with so many well-known uke players (Mark has a lot patience). I\'m sorry that i missed the chocolate \"factory.\" Hawaii is such a wonderful place to vacation--I\'m so glad that you and Mark both enjoy going there and I\'m proud to be your father.
luv,dad
