Hi Tonya! Nice blog! I was at the workshop in January as well, and it really inspired me, as a new ukester. I picked up a Lanikai on Kauai in 2004 and have been only haphazardly plucking on it. I went to the Big Island, maybe when you were there, in November, but my focus was more on the activities my two-year-old would enjoy than my own selfish indulgences.

I have been practicing every day since the Ohta/Ho workshop and only see possibilities. I wonder though, do you know of any uke circles or affinity groups in the Sac area? I would love to meet up with people to strum and keep the inspiration going.

Cheers,
Renee
