Hi, Tonya; I played Koke'e on dulcimer at a jam last March. I think I pronounced the words right, though nobody knew the difference. The next night, I was asked to play it again. So at least one person liked it. I guess it's best to play what you feel comfortable with,or with a favorite that you feel the non-Hawaiian world should be made aware of.

Hi Tonya, sounds like a lot of fun. I like doing Maui No La Ka Oi, it's just two or three chords and easy for people to follow along with. The hardest part for me was memorizing the words.

Hi Tonya. Hawaiian music *is* folk music and mountain music, as much as Bury Me Beneath the Willow. It's just different folks and different mountains. You don't need to tell them about hapa haole.

The website for GROUP is still under construction. I haven't even given the URL to any of the members yet. I wanted you to know that we are working on it though.
