All right, Eric Gilliom and Uncle Willie K don’t play ukuleles prominently (or perhaps at all?), but this talented duo has banded together to form The Barefoot Natives and, since it’s great Hawaiian music, I figure it belongs here anyway. The two were in the Sacramento (California) area on Saturday as part of their latest (first?) mainland tour and Borders Books in Sacramento (which is recognized for hosting a number of Hawaiian music events) had them as guests for an afternoon mini-concert.

Pictures are up!
I’ve spent this evening culling through various ukulele photos and finally have them online. The photos are sorted out by specific festivals and other fun activities. Look here!
Ukuleles of Paradise meeting is on Thursday, July 13
Join other ridge residents at the Ukuleles of Paradise meeting on Thursday night. With the Ukuleles of Paradise article published recently in the Paradise Post, we expect to have several folks who’ve never played ukulele before–please bring a folding chair if you have one! For more information, see the upcoming meeting flyer.
